During the Young Living Foundation Uganda service trip in July, we broke ground on The D. Gary Young, Young Living Foundation Hope Center for our partner Sole Hope! The Young Living Foundation Hope Center will be the new outreach house for this incredible organization. Individuals with severe cases of parasitic sand fleas called jiggers are brought to the Sole Hope Outreach House, where their jiggers are removed, and for about two weeks, they receive extensive, around-the-clock care. They are also educated and empowered to treat any future cases of jiggers themselves.

When the new center is complete, Sole Hope will be able to take in more patients. They will also build additional facilities on the land, so they can employ more local Ugandans, including 60 shoemakers and tailors, which will in turn lead to increased economic impact.
